Google Translate is now preserving your search history to your Google account, after hints that the feature will debut as early as 2020.
Android Police noticed that the search history feature was being rolled out, and all Google Translate users should have access to it as of this moment. If you don’t want to backup the translations you’ve already made to your local lexicon, there will be a prompt offering you the chance to do so. You can choose to Manage history instead, or you can use Translate without creating an account.
You may touch the History option in the deeper settings area to bring up a list of all of your prior searches in reverse chronological order. The upper-left star icon on the primary home screen layout lets you quickly access any individual search you’ve saved in Google Translate. All of information is visible locally, but it will also be backed up throughout your account, so the searches should be accessible from any other devices on which you are signed in.
To find out the definitions of words or phrases you translate, you can preserve your Google Translate history. All of your devices are synced with your saved translations.
The Translate app uploads your device’s history to the cloud. Your translations are automatically saved to the cloud while you are logged in.
By tapping your profile avatar in the upper right corner of the Google Translate main app screen, you may change and manage how long any inquiries are stored on your account. From here, select History to see the app’s unique Google Account settings. You may easily check out of the app on your smartphone to stop searches from being saved to the cloud, according to Google’s official support pages for Translate.
