Massive Improvements to the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro Fingerprint Scanner in Android 13 Beta 4.1

A recent report from Phone Arena claims that the fingerprint scanner on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro has significantly improved with Android 13 Beta 4.1. Since the two gadgets’ introduction, this has been one of their most significant flaws.

A MASSIVE PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT IS MADE TO THE PIXEL 6 ANDAMP; 6 PRO FINGERPRINT SCANNER IN ANDROID 13 BETA 4.1. It’s terrible to have a fingerprint reader that is unreliable on your phone, especially when there isn’t a facial scanning option. However, customers of the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro experienced that.

Google made numerous attempts to improve the performance of the fingerprint scanner, but it was never successful. It managed to make progress with the July security upgrade, but the performance was never up to par.

Advertisement According to this source, Android 13 Beta 4.1 appears to have accomplished this goal. On his Pixel 6 Pro, Alan Friedman of Phone Arena claims to have seen a significant variation in the performance of the fingerprint sensor.

However, that isn’t the only advantage. The beta edition appears to have significantly increased battery life as well. However, not everything is perfect, and installing a beta version is still not advised, at least not for the majority of users. Although everything appears to function flawlessly, this is still a beta build.

THE PIXEL 6A GOT A BOOST, AS WELL With this update, the fingerprint scanner on more phones than just the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro has been improved. There is also the Google Pixel 6a in the mix. Issues with the fingerprint scanner also plagued the Pixel 6a, but they appear to be resolved with this update.

Advertisement There have been rumors that the Pixel 6a may be unlocked by anyone even if their fingerprint scanner isn’t registered, but Google appears to have fixed that. Additionally, at least according to a user on Reddit , the performance appears to be faster currently.

But let’s hope Google doesn’t ruin things for the stable build. It is crucial that the Pixel 6, 6 Pro, and 6a have a trustworthy fingerprint scanner. Google, thanks for not messing with it any more; everything seems to be running correctly right now.
