Recent criticism of the Moto G line has focused on the Moto G Stylus 2022 and its overall lack of 5G for the time it was released. The Moto G 5G Stylus and Moto G 5G appear to be Motorola’s attempts to correct that.
When the Moto G Stylus 2022 was introduced, it was among the best Motorola had to offer. It had a 6.8-inch FHD display, a crazy 5,000 mAh battery, and a 50MP primary sensor. Although this mid-range smartphone appeared to have a lot going for it, 5G was completely overlooked throughout the design phase. It’s interesting to note that the Moto G 5G Stylus, which of course did have 5G, was released the year before. Motorola is currently updating the Moto G 5G Stylus and making a few minor internal adjustments.
All of the fantastic features you would anticipate from this range are there on the new Moto G 5G Stylus. It includes a 118-degree ultrawide lens and a 50MP sensor with OIS for photos with greater scope. Additionally, it has a 16MP selfie camera and an 8MP macro lens for close-up shots. Like the non-5G version, the display is a superb 6.8-inch FHD 120Hz panel.
The new Moto G 5G Stylus is powered internally by a Snapdragon 695 5G CPU and comes with 8GB of RAM. In addition, the Moto G 5G Stylus has 256GB of storage with additional space for storage. Of course, the phone also comes with a stylus for whenever you find the opportunity to sketch, write, or point at something. You should have enough of time to write with 5,000 mAh.
Motorola is also making available the Moto G 5G, which has many of the same camera specifications but falls short internally. Naturally, neither a stylus nor a place to keep it are included. You get a 16MP selfie camera, a 50MP primary sensor (no OIS), and a macro lens on the Moto G 5G. The screen is slightly smaller than, measuring as a 6.5-inch 90Hz HD panel. Despite being below mid-tier and unquestionably affordable, this smartphone will be fully 5G ready, which is undoubtedly an improvement.
The new Moto G 5G Stylus costs $499 and will be offered in the US starting on April 21 through pre-sale . The Moto G 5G, which costs $399, will be offered in the same places, although it won’t go on sale completely until May 19.
