The registration period for MoviePass’s restricted slots will open at 9:00 AM ET on August 25, 2022, and expire at 11:59 PM ET on August 29, 2022. According to the business, the registration procedure has been designed to add customers to a waitlist, providing them preferential access to the service during its beta phase on a first come first serve basis.
There is no cost to sign up to be added to the queue, and anyone may do so. Those who sign up will also receive 10 invites, which they may use to sign up friends and relatives. There will be three price tiers for MoviePass’ subscription service, with costs of $10, $20, and $30, respectively, with varying amounts of credits added to the account for each.
On September 5, MoviePass 2.0 will formally debut, but it won’t be available in every cinema countrywide. It is abundantly evident from the company website FAQ section that the service will be introduced gradually in various markets. The rollout will also be determined by the region’s public interest and the accessibility of partner theater chains.
Returning legacy MoviePass subscribers will receive more credits in their accounts. As the distribution extends to consumers’ specific regions, the business will email users to let them know. There is currently no information on whether the company would once more enter the movie-making industry or whether there will be any additional benefits for early adopters.
