What is Android’s Notification History feature and how do you use it?

Do you ever delete several alerts that may or may not have been crucial because you were a little too hasty with your swipes? How do you reclaim it? Fortunately, Android for Pixel, Samsung, and OnePlus phones has a tiny feature called Notification History that is designed for just that situation. This is how it goes.

When enabled, Android’s Notification History keeps track of your most recent alerts even after they have been deleted. The method is remarkably similar across the board, so if you know how to locate the Notification History page on one device, you’ll probably be able to do so on another. In light of this, we’ll walk through the process on the AA8’s vanilla Android 12 and the versions of One UI 4 from Samsung and OnePlus.

12 ANDROID Swipe down twice on your Pixel, then hit the settings cog to navigate to Settings. Locate and hit Notifications in the Settings. ONE UI 4 On your Galaxy device, swipe down from the homescreen and tap the settings cog in the top right corner of the screen to access your settings. Toggle to Advanced options by scrolling down. Notification history will be the third selection. Tap it if you want to. It is necessary to tap the toggle with the label “On.”

12 OXYGENOS By swiping down from the center of the screen on OxygenOS 12, you can access the Settings by clicking the settings cog next to the brightness slider on your OnePlus handset. Tap Notifications and status bar after scrolling down. Manage notifications will be the third choice. Tap it. It is necessary to tap the More option on the following page. At the top, tap Notification history. Tap the toggle to enable Notification History on the page that opens.

SHORT NOTIFICATION HISTORY Any of these devices will only start to display notifications once the setting has been turned on. You can quickly discover the notification you’re seeking for because notifications will also display in reverse chronological order. As with a new notification, tapping a dismissed notification on the Notification History screen will send you back to the app that originally sent it.
