We now have our first look at Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro due to what appear to be official renders after prior branding, pricing, size, and color leaks.

This evening, Evan Blass on 91mobiles revealed images of the upcoming Galaxy Watch models in high-resolution 3D rotatable renders. The Galaxy Watch 5, code-named Heart, which is the successor to the smaller Watch 4 introduced the previous year, is where it all begins.

We can see that the size is 44mm from the text ring on the underside, but Blass claims that a smaller variant, perhaps 40mm, will also be offered. We have a look at the basic Graphite and Silver, as well as the light blue Sapphire, and learn that it will be available in a wider range of colors than the Pro lineup. According to a prior Galaxy Watch 5 rumor, pink gold in the smaller model should also be available.

Both devices will be offered in LTE versions and will use Sapphire Crystal rather than Gorilla Glass DX. GPS and 5ATM water resistance are other shared specifications. One UI Watch 4.5, based on wearOS 3.5, is reportedly what they use, according to today’s story, however it’s unclear whether existing devices will receive the update first.

The Watch 5 Pro, as is rumored, does away with the rotating bezel in favor of what Samsung presently refers to as an Digital Bezel , while the standard Watch 5 retains the same design as last year’s model. The bezel, however, is curled inward rather than flat. Hopefully, this will help with finger positioning and precision.

It will be offered in black or gray titanium under the codename “Project X,” but will only be 45mm in size as opposed to the Watch 4 Classics’ 46mm (and 44mm). It looks to be adopting a novel clasp technique in place of the customary pin buckle (as seen on Watch 4/5), and it is unquestionably thicker than 2022’s smaller form.
