using Android 13.0 Launched officially, ColorOS 13 will be available on 35 devices.

Following confirming the launch date , Oppo has now formally unveiled ColorOS 13, which is based on Android 13, and provided details on the most recent update.

The flagship Find X5 Pro and China-only Find N series foldable are the first two smartphones eligible for the ColorOS 13 update. The prerelease beta phase for this pair will expire in the upcoming weeks.

Oppo’s Aquamorphic Design is one of ColorOS 13’s main tenets. Animations have received more focus, and the style and feel are reported to have been influenced by the color changes in the light between sunrise and sunset at sea level.

The visual components follow a card-like layout with many rounded corners and muted color schemes. The end result is a layout that is easier to browse and cleaner.

While Material You has elements thanks to wallpaper-based color choices, the system typography has been adjusted to make it easier to read. Increased always-on display features and design options allow for more personalization at the lock screen. When the Always-on display is turned on, the AMOLED display on smartphones like the Find X5 Pro dips below 1Hz. According to reports, this improves power efficiency over ColorOS 12 by 30%.

The homescreen has been improved in ColorOS 13 and now has a new extended folder option. This allows you to supersize folders for quicker access while requiring less space for app icons, similar to the larger folder option seen on Nothing OS.

Additionally, Oppo has released an Omoji feature that lets you create a virtual avatar and is inspired by Memoji. In a few places, such as the always-on display and in system areas, this can be used as your profile image.

The Multi-screen Connect feature has been upgraded and improved, and it is claimed to provide significantly enhanced and smooth connections between your smartphone and Windows laptops/computers.

In the upcoming weeks, a global rollout is reportedly going to start, and Oppo intends to update approximately 35 smartphone models by the end of 2022. It is claimed that this rollout would reach about 160 million customers and that devices in more than 60 countries and regions are eligible.

Starting today, the Find X5 Pro and Find X5 will start receiving the ColorOS 13 update. In 2023, a second rollout for 20 additional devices will start. In the upcoming weeks, we’ll have a thorough hands-on with ColorOS 13, during which we’ll examine all of the major changes and directly contrast them with OnePlus OxygenOS 13 Beta.
