To see step count and other metrics, Nest Hub is integrating Google Fit and Fitbit more deeply.

Asking about sleep is the extent of Google Assistant’s health integrations at the time. Going forward, the Nest Hub will display activity data from Fitbit or Google Fit, including steps taken, calories burnt, and other metrics.

The forthcoming integrations are described in a new Google Support article: Show your activity metrics from Google Fit or Fitbit on your Nest display . Key Assistant settings have not yet been rolled out, but there are instructions on how to enable it.

Your Nest display may display activity data like steps taken and calories burnt from Google Fit or Fitbit.

The Calm service is the only thing listed under Assistant settings andgt; Wellness andgt; Activity today. Soon, you will be able to connect to Google Assistant using Google Fit and Fitbit through this page.

From the information that is currently accessible, it appears like Google will display different metrics right on the Nest Hub. In the Wellness tab of the second-generation Nest Hub with Sleep Sensing powered by Soli, Assistant only performs this for sleep statistics. You’ll probably be able to ask for these activity numbers verbally as well.

It’s unclear if any Smart Displays that have Personal results and Proactive health and fitness results enabled would function as this item is posted under Google Nest Hub (2nd gen). Owners of Wear OS and Fitbit devices who just have the original Nest Hub or the Hub Max will benefit from this improved connection.

When Google will launch this improved Fitbit and Google Fit integration on the Nest Hub is unknown.
