These smartphones will feature Android 13 thanks to OnePlus.

This week, OnePlus is outlining the features of Android 13, which is expected to appear on Google Pixel phones in September. Additionally, over a dozen smartphones will receive Android 13 updates, according to OnePlus.

The OnePlus version of Android 13 is called OxygenOS 13, and it features an Aquamorphic design language.

The major question, as always, is when it will actually be launched on smartphones. We already know that Google Pixels will receive updates first, and if recent trends continue, Samsung won’t lag too far after. But over the past few years, big Android updates from OnePlus have been more hit-or-miss.

OnePlus promises updates for 15 different smartphones with Android 13.

The OnePlus 10 Pro, the first device to run OxygenOS 13, will set things in motion. The new OnePlus 10T will thereafter be in line behind them. After that, OnePlus will upgrade its previous three flagship models as well as a few Nord products, in no particular order. Here is the whole list.

OnePlus Pro 10 10T OnePlus 10R OnePlus Nexus 9 Noose 9 Pro The OnePlus 9R and 9RT 8 OnePlus Noose 8 Pro 8T OnePlus Nexus One OnePlus Nord 2T from OnePlus Nexus One Nord CE Nokia Nord CE 2 Nord CE 2 Lite by OnePlus The OnePlus Nord N20 is one of few glaring absences from the list. That phone went on sale in April 2022, but despite the fact that it hasn’t even received an upgrade to Android 12 yet, it already seems to be in line for significant revisions.

Even so, it’s encouraging to see that OnePlus has already made a commitment to these updates, and we hope they’ll come this time around more promptly and perhaps with fewer glitches.
