There are now new clock faces for the Fitbit Charge 5 and Luxe {U}

Fitbit recently confirmed that the Charge 5 and Luxe fitness trackers are actually receiving new clock faces as part of an upgrade that began rolling out to them two weeks ago.

Update 8/1: The new clock faces are now accessible following last week’s announcement. Bloom is available for the Luxe and Fitbit Charge 5. The date, Active Zone Minutes, Steps, Heart Rate, Calories, and Distance are cycled through by tapping. Each stat is accompanied with a distinct background and hour color, and there is an animation of flower petals that is more often than not humorous.

Karman for Heart Rate, Steps, Active Zone Minutes, Calories, and Distance is also available for the Fitbit Luxe. You receive, make sure to update to the most recent firmware, which is currently being widely rolled out. It is highly information-dense and offers the options of a blue or gold theme.

Original 8/1: Fitbit announced what owners have been wanting for some time by making the upgrade public today :

Users of Luxe and Charge 5 will be able to change things up thanks to two brand-new gorgeous clockfaces named Bloom and an additional stylish clockface for Luxe.

Bloom appears to come in two color options (pink and purple), and it displays a health/fitness statistic every few hours or minutes. Presumably, you can tap the screen to switch between them. The extra Luxe face has a metric, analog time, day/date, and a lot of information (heart rate).

Having said that, we haven’t yet noticed the new clock faces in the Fitbit app, even with the most recent Charge 5 firmware. Fitbit hinted last month that they would be releasing instructions for changing clock faces: Tap the Charge 5 or Luxe icon in the top-left corner of the Fitbit app, followed by the Gallery and Clocks tabs.

While the Charge 5 also receives a remedy for a battery loss issue some users may have seen with GPS-enabled exercises, Fitbit also mentioned the release of the Find Phone app. There are several superficial bug fixes and enhancements that help both devices.

The Charge 5’s most recent update is 1.171.50, while the Luxe’s is 1.171.50. These are the first updates for Fitbit’s fitness trackers in a few months.
