The Galaxy Z Fold 2 now has the July 2022 Android security patch from Samsung. The most recent security patch is being applied to the 2020 foldable model everywhere, including the US and Europe. The update should also soon be available in the few remaining markets.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2’s July SMR (Security Maintenance Release) is rolling out for both carrier-locked and unlocked units in the US. For the two models, the revised firmware versions are F916USQS2HVF3 and F916U1UES2HVF6, respectively. All significant wireless networks, including T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, Xfinity Mobile, and others, have the update already.
In Europe, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is also receiving a broad rollout of the most recent security patch. F916BXXS2GVF5 is the latest firmware version for the foldable in the area. Germany, Italy, Portugal, the Czech Republic, and several other nations in Europe have the update live.

This update does not provide any new features or enhancements to the second-generation foldable book. The only security updates included in the new software package are for this month. The July SMR provides solutions for more than 60 vulnerabilities, according to a recent announcement from Samsung. There are 23 bugs in the Android OS, three of which Google has classified as having a critical severity.
Samsung fixed 41 more flaws, some of which jeopardized the Knox security platform, that only affected its Android-powered smartphones and tablets. These flaws may have made it possible for attackers to access a victim’s device without authorization. Additionally, the Korean company fixed bugs affecting Messages, Contacts, App Lock, Finder, and several other essential services.
