The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are coming to India, and Flipkart is teasing their debut.

Due to the complete omission of several Pixel generations from the Indian market, Google was long absent from the country’s smartphone industry. The Pixel 6a changed that earlier this year, and it now appears that the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will also be sold in India.

Reviewing the past few years of Pixel in India reveals that Google skipped more products there than it actually introduced. The mid-range Pixel 3a was the brand’s next flagship in India after the Pixel 3. However, the Pixel 4 was not released in India as local laws forbade the use of its Soli technology. Later that year, the Pixel 4a was released, which was the final release for a while. The region was not visited by the Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, or Pixel 5a. Additionally, the Pixel 6 wasn’t formally sold in India.

Google didn’t bring its smartphones back to India until this year, when the Pixel 6a was introduced there.

Flipkart published a new feature page this week for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro launch, claiming that the devices are ready to ship and all but confirming that they will eventually be available in India.

Pricing, colors, storage tiers, and virtually anything else about these devices save the Tensor G2 chip within have not been mentioned. However, this is still fantastic news for the Pixel 7. After 2018, this will be Google’s first flagship launch in India.

Comparative to other places, it is likely that the Pixel 7 launch in India would be a little later. There is no indication as to when delivery will start, but we do know that pre-orders for the Pixel 7 will open on October 6. Although Google had previously hinted that the Pixel 6a may be delayed in India, the device ultimately went on sale the same day as it did in the US and other countries.

How much Google would charge for its newest flagship in the nation is still a mystery. In retrospect, Google’s pricing for the Pixel 6a wasn’t exactly aggressive.
