We’ve heard a lot about the Galaxy Watch 5 series so far, including that a Pro model with a larger battery and more advanced design is on the way. Now that we have a ton of Galaxy Watch 5 specifications, the large battery in the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is all but certain.
Today, WinFuture released a number of Galaxy Watch 5 photos and specifications that give you a good idea of what these smartwatches will be able to do in addition to the software.
As has been said previously on numerous occasions, the regular Galaxy Watch 5 comes in two sizes: 40mm and 44mm. The smaller has an AMOLED display measuring 1.19 inches at 396396 while the larger has an AMOLED display measuring 1.36 inches at 450450. Despite being somewhat larger overall, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro would have the same display as the 44mm model.
Notably, this rumor states that all Galaxy Watch 5 versions come with sapphire glass, which is far more resistant to scratches. It was once assumed that this would only apply to the Pro model.
The fun really starts with battery life. The Galaxy Watch 5 series is reportedly getting larger batteries overall, and many reports have indicated that this is the case. The Galaxy Watch 5’s 40mm model has a 284 mAh battery, while the 44mm model has a 410 mAh battery. As a result, Samsung is said to have increased its stated battery life from 40 hours to 50 hours. Both variants share the same 9.8mm thickness as the Galaxy Watch 4.
The 590 mAh battery within the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, on the other hand, is said to provide 80 hours of durability according to this leak. Charging speed has also risen to 10W, as was reported in a prior leak. According to reports, the Watch 5 Pro is 10.5mm thick.
Beyond the battery in the Galaxy Watch 5, this leak also shows that Samsung isn’t significantly altering the basic specifications. It is anticipated that the Exynos W920 processor and up to 16GB of storage RAM will remain the same in the Watch 5 from last year.
In addition to the sensors used for heart rate, ECG, and similar functions, NFC, eSIM for LTE versions, and a redesigned health sensor are also listed. It might have anything to do with reports of temperature readings.
On August 10, Samsung is anticipated to introduce the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro.
