The Lenovo Tab P12 Pro is now qualified to receive Android 13 Beta 2, whereas the Pixel series has already received its last Android 13 Beta upgrade.
Lenovo is still referring to this update for the Tab P12 Pro as a Developer Preview even though it is based on Android 13 Beta 2 and contains a lot of improvements over the first beta that was made available back in May.
Sadly, Lenovo hasn’t said whether any of the reported problems have been fixed. Therefore, it is unclear without flashing whether the second Android 13 Beta release for the tablet supports features like face unlock, fingerprint unlock, multi-touch gestures, screen output via HDMI, and cast capabilities. In order to utilize the optional keyboard case properly, you’ll also need to physically connect it via Bluetooth.
The June 2022 security patch, which is dated but still a significant security improvement, is brought to the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro via Android 13 Beta 2, according to the update details. You’ll need to manually flash this update onto your Tab P12 Pro, unlike the OTA process that is provided to Pixel customers running the Android 13 Beta.
If you decide to flash your Android tablet, be careful to backup any crucial information because doing so will wipe it clean. We cannot advise anyone with the impressive gadget to actually attempt to install it on their primary tablet due to bugs and the aforementioned device wipe.
On Lenovo’s dedicated Android 13 Developer Preview microsite , you can find detailed instructions as well as the ZIP files required to flash your Tab P12 Pro.
