The Galaxy Z Fold 4, Flip 4, and Watch 5 will be featured at Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked event on August 10.

Although the actual release date has mostly remained a mystery up until now, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 are shaping up to be welcome upgrades to the company’s foldable range. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 are scheduled to debut during an Unpacked event in less than a month, according to Evan Blass.

Earlier Thursday morning, Blass posted a picture that very clearly tells a tale. If the image is to be believed, Samsung will hold its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 on August 10, 2022.

Beyond displaying the identical Galaxy Z Flip 4 render that Blass leaked last week, the image doesn’t reveal much. However, it does indicate that the event will probably be primarily virtual thanks to streaming via (presumably through YouTube, as has been the case in years past).

Everything we have learned up to this point seems to support that date.

The same date was mentioned by Jon Prosser on Twitter in the first few days of June, and it also lines up with our expectations.

Samsung announced the event on July 20; the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 were unveiled on August 11 of that year. Based on past behavior, it would seem realistic to anticipate official Samsung communication regarding this event within the next week or two.

Even if the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 would undoubtedly be the event’s highlights, they won’t be the only gadgets on the schedule. The Galaxy Watch 5 series will undoubtedly also be unveiled at the event, and while there haven’t been any leaks to suggest it, we also received a new set of Samsung Android tablets last year.

Prior to this next event, the Galaxy Buds Pro 2 have also surfaced a few times, but we don’t anticipate their official unveiling at Unpacked. Samsung will introduce the earbuds before Unpacked, claims to Max Jambor .

Expected to be relatively small but significant enhancements to Samsung’s foldable series are the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4. With a somewhat larger battery and a less obvious display wrinkle, the Flip 4 should mostly be identical to its predecessor.

With a more square-shaped internal display and a broader outside screen, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be experimenting with its aspect ratio. Meanwhile, there will be some changes made to the display, and there have even been rumors of camera upgrades.

Both of Samsung’s upcoming foldable devices are anticipated to include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, which ought to improve efficiency and general performance when compared to the chip used in the Galaxy S22 series.

Folks, smartphone season is almost here.
