The At a Glance widget for Pixel begins displaying Air Quality (AQI) warnings.

Google promised that At a Glance would soon display Air Quality Index (AQI) notifications with the Pixels June Feature Drop, and these readings are now becoming available.

In At a Glance, the AQI, designated as Stateside , is displayed as a color dot and numerical value next to the weather and below the day and date. It has been visible on the Pixel homescreen’s top-left corner (as shown below), but it ought to also be shown on the lockscreen.

There is no single settings toggle to turn off these Air Quality warnings, unlike other At a Glance features, albeit it might be connected to the current Weather control. By tapping, other local readings are displayed along with a Google Search for “ air quality near me “.

If the current circumstances are Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (orange) or above, the AQI will be displayed in At a Glance according to one stateside report. It will last until the air quality changes to yellow or moderate. Although having the option to always see it would be convenient, this item is mostly intended to serve as a warning.

Google said in June that AQI alerts are accessible on Pixel in India, Australia, and the United States. Additionally, since early this year, you can search for AQI in those nations. These statistics come from PurpleAir and airnow.gov in the US. The Nest Hub and other smart displays, as well as a Google Maps layer, all display this information.

the most recent Additions like Nest doorbell notifications and flashlight control are briefly mentioned. It happens as Google is getting set to launch the following three features.
