The $229 Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro have 3D audio and Bluetooth LE audio compatibility.

Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Pro line has become the standard for many earbud producers. The business is releasing the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro this year, a worthy successor with a few significant upgrades. The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro this year offer 3D surround sound and 24-bit audio for some serious music enjoyment.

When Samsung launched the Galaxy Buds Pro last year, they were at the top of their game. We gave the Buds Pro great scores as well, and they are still recognized as one of the top earbud sets in 2022.

Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, which pack a lot of high-end technology into a small container, could depose the king, though. The Galaxy Buds Pro 2 are Samsung’s top-tier earphones and offer listeners with a Galaxy handset running One UI 4 or higher 24-bit audio, which provides more information and dynamic range than Bluetooth typically can.

In addition, the Buds 2 Pro will work with Samsung devices to provide 360-degree audio. Additionally, Samsung uses a brand-new coaxial two-way speaker that weighs only 5.5 grams and has a tweeter and subwoofer.

The auto-switching technology in the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is very similar to that in the new Pixel Buds Pro. Because the Buds 2 Pro will automatically switch devices depending on the active output, you may take full advantage of multipoint pairing in this way. For Hi-Fi listening, these earbuds use Samsung’s innovative SSC Samsung Seamless Codec. AAC and SBC are also used by folks without Galaxy devices.

Additionally, Samsung states that the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are prepared for Bluetooth LE Audio. We don’t sure how capable they are or if LC3 will be included in a future version. The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro may become the first earphones on the market to support Bluetooth LE Audio when the time comes thanks to this intriguing claim. Although Samsung states that LE Audio will be available later this year, there is no specific release date for this upgrade.

Like most other earbuds before it, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will also offer ANC and ambient sound to consumers. The Voice Detect feature, which enables ANC to turn on and off based on whether you’re having a conversation or not, is what distinguishes the Pro line from other models. We were happy to find that this feature carried over into the following generation after originally appearing in the Galaxy Buds Pro.

The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro earphones, according to Samsung, last for roughly five hours when not in the case and 18 hours when it is. You may expect a battery life of eight hours on a single charge and 29 hours while using the case without ANC.

The Buds 2 Pro appear to be a promising set of earbuds overall. These should be more than adequate to meet a desire for excellent audio if they are anything like the Buds Pro that came before them. They’re an available for pre-order now for $229 .
