Stadia Changelog: Four new games, Cyberpunk expansion, and a critical need for bug patches

This week, four new games were confirmed to be coming to Google Stadia, which is also one of the most convenient ways to play the newest Cyberpunk 2077 expansion, Phantom Liberty.

On 9to5Google, we compile some of the Stadia news that we wouldn’t otherwise be able to discuss in our weekly series called Stadia Changelog. A summary of the new games that were added to Stadia during the week, a list of games that received upgrades and fixes, a list of new games that have been confirmed or are rumored to be coming to the platform, and more are included. GAME UPDATES ON STADA This week was the thirteenth week this year without any new Google Stadia game launches.

In 2022, Google added 48 new games to Stadia. Google added 107 new games to the Stadia library in 2021, and it pledged to add at least 100 new games in 2022. However, at this rate, this is not achievable unless there are dozens more releases in the upcoming weeks.

COMING GAMES TO STADA This week, Google officially announced is releasing four new games on Stadia, with the first one being the ski resort simulator Snowtopia. Similar to Cities: Skylines, the game lets players construct a ski resort from start while managing resources and money. Somni offers a multiplayer horror game to Stadia, and Slaycation Paradise is a tower defense game with several dimensions and a post-apocalyptic setting.

Gravitar: Recharged will soon be available on Stadia, according to Atari. In June, the game was previously made available on other platforms .

There are no set release dates for any of these games.
According to the people at StadiaSource , there’s a high chance that Arctic Awakening will be playing at Stadia.

UPDATES Edgerunners update and Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077

Phantom Liberty, the first significant expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, was one of the biggest gaming headlines this week. The core story of the game will be continued in the expansion, which will debut in 2023 and even reintroduce Keanu Reeves’ character Johnny Silverhand.

The unique thing about this expansion is that it will only be available on a few platforms, including Google Stadia, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. But as of this week’s 1.6 patch, last-gen consoles are no longer supported.

Along with that revelation, Cyberpunk 2077’s most recent update brings the Edgerunners pack, which includes in-game items, new missions, and other things based on the upcoming anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

Players can change their outfit’s appearance via wardrobe transmog without altering the stats of their armor. These alternative missions in Three New Gigs broaden your explorations of Night City. There is never too much choice when it comes to new weapons. The upcoming anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners served as inspiration for the items in the Edgerunners Content Pack. In its most recent version, Cyberpunk 2077 also included a cross-progression option, however it was for doesnt appear to be working on Stadia.

Crowd Favorite: Five Nights at Freddy’s

The most recent Five Nights at Freddys game, Security Breach, this week included support for Crowd Choice on Google Stadia, a feature unique to the platform.

ARE THE BUGS FIXES ANYWHERE? BROKE N STADIA GAMES This week, a running list of games that aren’t currently functioning properly on Stadia will be added to the Stadia Changelog. For weeks, Risk of Rain 2 has been broken.

We wrote about Risk of Rain 2’s problematic multiplayer and performance difficulties earlier this week. There is still no indication of a remedy at this time.

Stadia difficulties with additional games
In addition to the issues described above, there are other other Stadia games that are now having problems, which we’ve listed below.

On August 8, we also learned that Stadia was particularly glitchy in the UK, preventing Pro subscribers from playing games in 4K and causing some gamers’ accounts to display the incorrect username and prevent them from accessing their Pro libraries. At this moment, issue does seem to have been resolved.
