Soon, Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 will receive Android 12L; Samsung highlights the success of Flip 4 and Fold 4 in Europe.

Samsung claims that sales of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in Europe have increased by double in the week after they first went on sale. Additionally, Samsung has excellent news for users of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3.

Benjamin Braun, Samsung’s senior marketing officer for Europe, acknowledged to The Korea Times that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 have sold twice as many units so far in Europe as their predecessors. This includes nations including the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Spain.

Brendon said:

Shipments of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 doubled compared to previous models in Europe, where initial sales of the new products achieved record high levels.

If we break that statistic down, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 accounts for almost 60% of purchases, making it the more popular of the two. The two most popular Flip colors are Graphite and Bora Purple, while the two most popular Fold 4 colors are Phantom Black and Samsung’s distinctive gray-green.

This is in line with how Samsung performed with the Fold 3 and Flip 3 last year, with the Flip accounting for about 70% of consumer demand.

The new multitasking features from the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 will be returning to the Fold 3 and Flip 3 in early September, according to this rumor from Samsung.

Samsung previously told 9to5Google that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 would receive the One UI 4.1.1 update based on Android 12L, but no release date was given. The taskbar on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 significantly improves the experience, as we noted in our review of the Galaxy Z Fold 4, even though Android 12L is at best a minor change for the Flip series. I’ll be happy to see it when it does on the Fold 3.
