Samsung releases Internet 19.0 Beta and upgrades privacy features.

Samsung is aware that every single user is constantly under threat, whether it comes from phishing scams or tricks to track you down and collect additional data. With the introduction of Samsung Internet 19.0 Beta, additional features are being offered to make browsing even safer for consumers.

The default browser for many users on Galaxy smartphones is Samsung Internet. It has a ton of functionality and is fast enough to get you where you need to go online. These characteristics have significantly improved over time, especially in light of the increased threat from malevolent actors.

The beta version of Samsung Internet 19.0 was released today, Samsung announced . This new update contains a few unique features designed exclusively to keep end users safe. A new feature in Internet 19.0 allows Samsung’s Smart anti-tracking function to detect domains that are frequently connected to illegal trackers and prevent them from collecting your data. Samsung claims that this AI-powered function will work its hardest to keep up with the expanding number of sites prepared to collect and exchange your data.

Also new in Samsung Internet 19.0 is a privacy info page that lets users understand exactly how their browsing is being recorded. When viewing a page in the browsers, a tiny lock icon will be seen towards the top of the screen. When you tap that symbol, an info screen with a few distinct pieces of information will appear.

The page will first inform you as to whether or not the connection to that website is secure. You can check how many tracking attempts Samsung Internet has detected and stopped under that. You may also see how many cookies are being used on that page right now. The information page displays elements you can’t do much about changing, but the window’s bottom allows you to modify location, camera, and microphone permissions.

In addition to security and privacy, Samsung added a few other changes to the browser. Users can now use add-ons with Samsung Internet 19.0’s iteration of Secret Mode for private browsing. While you could use add-ons in earlier versions, you weren’t allowed to use them in Secret mode. Add-ons are wonderful for personalizing Samsung Internet. These added features are transferable to Samsung Internet 19.0, so you won’t have to settle for a basic experience.

Samsung Internet 19.0 Beta appears to be a good upgrade to every Galaxy device’s default browser overall. According to Samsung, the Google Play Store already has the beta version. Samsung intends to make the full version available to everyone later in Q4 of this year.
