Samsung introduces a constrained Pokmon Edition Galaxy Z Flip 3 (Update: Sold-out)

After collaborating with the Olympics, BTS, Thom Browne, and a number of other well-known international businesses, Samsung is now teaming up with Gamefreak to create a limited Pokmon Edition Galaxy Z Flip 3.

Update 04/26: The Pokmon Z Flip 3 has been discontinued shortly after going on sale for 1.28 million Korean won (about $1,020, 800, or 955). The limited edition foldable, according to Korean retailer Yonhap News , was gone in just five minutes.

A Samsung spokeswoman informed Yonhap News that the company has not yet decided whether to launch the limited edition in international markets, disappointing users who were hoped to use the gadget outside of Korea.

In this most recent partnership, adorable extras and accessories that are probably unique to this collaboration are combined with the capabilities of Pokmon and the Galaxy Z Flip 3. It is essentially a normal Galaxy Z Flip 3 with a few accessories decorated with iconic video game and anime franchise heroes.

Trainers from all over the world will be envious of the Korea-only device, which comes in a unique presentation package with a variety of Pokmon-themed extras and accessories. Along with a Pokball pop socket, a Pikachu-tail key chain, and a bespoke clear case for the Z Flip 3, there is a Pokdex travel pouch. Even the packaging for smartphones has been altered to resemble a Pokball to go with the other changes.

The three main Gen 1 starters—Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle—as well as Pikachu, Snorlax, and Mew are all represented by inserts in this case. You may swap up the Galaxy Z Flip 3 on the fly because each case insert has the Pokdex listing and number.

Regarding the Galaxy Z Flip 3, it comes in the typical matte black shade but also has a variety of pre-installed software enhancements, such as Pokmon ringtones, wallpapers, and device themes. Although it is unknown if these will be made available through the Galaxy Store in the future or not, we are optimistic that those of us in international locations will be able to sample these exclusive features.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is still available elsewhere with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 engine, 8GB of RAM, and 128 or 256GB of storage, but we predict that the maximum will be used here as there are just a few of these available. A 10-megapixel punch-hole camera with a twin 12-megapixel camera on the interior are both located in the center.

The fact that Samsung isn’t selling a Galaxy Z Fold 3 that is decorated in the style of a Pokdex is one perplexing feature of the entire limited edition. You may sign up for pre-order notifications directly on the official Galaxy Z Flip 3 Pokmon Edition microsite if you happen to live in Korea.
