Oppo begins rolling out Android 13 officially, starting with the Find X5 series.

Just last month, Android 13 became available for Pixel phones, but it is now making its way to more handsets thanks to Oppo’s announcement of Android 13 for the Find X5 series.

Oppo is starting to push out the official Android 13 update to some devices starting on September 15 ( today ). While the Find X5 Pro is now receiving the update in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, France, and Australia, Oppo claims the upgrade isn’t yet available to carrier-sold versions. The Find X5 will begin receiving the update in France and the United Arab Emirates.

Previously, Oppo had been beta-testing Android 13 on its most recent flagship models, the Find X5 and Find N.

As reporter Damien Wilde pointed out, Android 13 for Oppo devices is known as ColorOS 13, and it also serves as the foundation for the OnePlus Oxygen OS 13 update.

The platform gains a number of new features and enhancements with ColorOS 13. In a press release, Oppo highlights privacy enhancements like Auto-Pixelate, which can automatically retract names and sensitive data in screenshots, as well as improvements to Multi-Screen Connect, a new Meeting Assistant that blocks notifications and other distractions while using apps like Zoom and Google Meet.

Oppo will roll out ColorOS 13 to more than 30 other handsets in the following months after the Find X5 series.
