On the Pixel 6, Google Assistant’s new Quick Phrase will block incoming calls {APK Insight}.

The Assistant debuted Quick phrases to skip the hotword for two particular activities with the Pixel 6 last October, and you may soon be able to stop incoming calls.

Regarding APK Insight: We’ve decompiled the most recent version of an app that Google put on the Play Store in our APK Insight post. When we decompile these files—known as APKs for Android apps—we can find numerous lines of code that allude to potential future features. Remember that Google might or might not ever deploy these features, and our understanding of what they are might be limited. However, we’ll strive to give those that are closer to completion a chance to demonstrate how they’ll seem if they do ship. Read on with that in mind.

On the Pixel 6, 6 Pro, and 6a since launch, you can speak Stop or Snooze when an alarm or timer goes off. On incoming calls, there is support for the options Answer or Decline.

In the beta version of Google App 13.34, Silence is listed as a supported Quick Phrase. This should stop the ringer but leave the phone unanswered so you have more time to make a decision. It will be a fantastic substitute for depressing the volume rocker.

“Answer,” “Decline,” and “Silence” are all valid Guacamole settings call v2 enabled subtitle values.

It is not yet known when Google expects to make the Assistant Quick Phrase for Silencing available on the Pixel. It might make its debut around the same time as the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
