On its own website, Samsung verifies the Galaxy Watch 5 model numbers.

The Galaxy Watch 5 series, the following Wear OS flagship, won’t go on sale for another month or so, but leaks for the lineup have already started to pour in. The model numbers for the Galaxy Watch 5 series have been confirmed by Samsung’s own website as of this evening.

Samsung published early listings for all three variants of the Galaxy Watch 5, including the Pro model, on its international websites, as noted by Roland Quandt on Twitter (in Belgium , Denmark , and Norway ). This covers the rumored 40mm, 44mm, and 45mm Galaxy Watch 5 Pro sizes.

These early listings, however, at least confirm the model numbers of these impending smartwatches and are sadly empty of any fresh details.

40mm Galaxy Watch 5 SM-R905F SM-R915F Galaxy Watch 5 44mm SM-925F Galaxy Watch 5 Pro 45mm These model numbers will, of course, vary based on the model. Given that the Galaxy Watch 4 series’ Bluetooth versions had model numbers that ended in 0, these look to be LTE variations (SM-R880, for example).

It’s interesting to note that this ultimately causes Samsung to surpass the SM-R8 pattern, which has existed since the Galaxy Watch series of 2018. But given that the Galaxy Watch 4 series peaked out that number format with the 46mm Galaxy Watch 4, also known as the SM-R890, that does make sense.

The Galaxy Watch 5 series is anticipated from Samsung to be released in the middle of August, with the smartwatch reportedly costing slightly more than previous models. In a recent leak, we also received our first glimpse at the series’ design, which suggests some modest general modifications and adds more evidence that the Classic branding with the spinning bezel is disappearing.
