Another update is currently coming out as LG keeps its pledge to make sure its final wave of Android phones continue to receive the improvements they deserve. The LG V60 ThinQ received the Android 12 upgrade this week in the US.
The LG V60 ThinQ’s T-Mobile version can currently receive the Android 12 update. It’s interesting that this is the first V60 to have Android 12. That is unusual because typically LG releases upgrades like these first in Korea.
According to Reddit , this update is currently available as a 1.17GB download for T-Mobile customers. The update will be automatically installed a few weeks after it has been downloaded, at least in the case of T-Mobile models. We can observe that no other carriers have yet started distributing Android 12 to the V60.
What has Android 12 brought to the LG V60? Not much. There is no hint of Material You, as we saw with the similar version for the LG Velvet, but there are enhancements like privacy indicators, enhanced permissions, and other adjustments. More information about that can be found in our coverage of the Velvets update.
