Asurion Tech Repair and Solutions will replace uBreakiFix, a long-time provider of authorized Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy repairs in the US.
Since the introduction of the Pixel family, uBreakiFix has been one of the few authorized repair facilities in the US, other than returning your phone to Google. Since the beginning of the relationship, uBreakiFix has offered same-day repairs for Pixel 5 devices in most areas. Samsung followed suit, collaborating with uBreakiFix for authorized repairs since 2018.
In 2019, uBreakiFix merged with Asurion , one of the largest firms offering insurance and extended warranties for smartphones, with the shared objective of keeping customers’ phones functional. Asurion Tech Repair and Solutions will be the new name for all 650 uBreakiFix locations in the US, the firm said today.
The rebranding process will start at the end of this year and last into next. Customers will continue to be able to utilize the uBreakiFix location finder during the changeover period between the two names, regardless of whether their neighborhood shop has undergone a name change.
According to Asurion, the rebrand will not have an impact on the caliber of service or the range of repairs offered at each location. Customers with Galaxy or Pixel phones covered by Samsung Care are still welcome to bring in their handsets for repairs, including same-day service where possible.
