New notification and keyboard functionality added to Wear OS 3.5 in the Galaxy Watch 4 beta.

Samsung has made the OTA and changelog for One Ul Watch 4.5 available to testers, after the introduction of the Galaxy Watch 4 beta app yesterday.

Those who have installed the beta update (through Reddit ) report that Wear OS 3.5 is now running on the Galaxy Watch 4 instead of version 3.2. The Galaxy Watch 4’s One Ul Watch 4.5 boasts enhancements in four categories, with notifications receiving the most attention. According to the beta changelog, the Galaxy Watch 4’s notifications can show more information, and you can write message responses and enlarge emoji.

Text input goes hand in hand with notifications, and the Samsung Keyboard now supports a QWERTY layout instead of merely a T9 keyboard, offering a substitute for Gboard. Additionally, moving between the keyboard, handwriting, and voice entry should be easy; this sounds somewhat like Assistant voice typing on the Pixel 6.

A Dual SIM feature and some kind of double edge/box complexity for watchfaces are further attractions.
