Multiple sends and Gmail email templates are coming to more Workspace editions.

Similar to how they did with appointment booking in Calendar earlier this year, Google is making Gmail’s email template layouts and multi-send capabilities available to more Workspace customers.

The purpose of these two services, which were initially made available to Google Workspace Individual users, is to make it easier to send emails with a professional appearance to large audiences. Announcements, newsletters, and other scenarios involving mass email are examples of potential uses for the functionalities offered by Gmail for the web.

The first adjustments are made to email layouts and templates, which may be customized with your own color schemes, logos, photos, footer text, and links. These layouts and templates can also incorporate images, text elements, and buttons.

A different copy of the email is sent to each recipient when using multi-send as an alternative to BCCing. In Google Contacts, senders can build and manage mailing lists.

Each recipient’s individual unsubscribe link is included by default in multi-send emails, and anyone who clicks it will be automatically removed from all of your future multi-send emails.

Google is initially releasing admin options that let you decide whether to turn these features on or off for your users. The following editions will begin using Gmail templates and multi-send in August:

Customers of old G Suite Basic, Google Workspace Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Starter, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Standard, and Education Plus Not accessible to users of legacy G Suite Business, Google Workspace Essentials, Education Fundamentals, Education Teaching and Learning, Business Starter, Enterprise Essentials, and Frontline. Additionally, the edition affects the defaults for multi-send:

This capability is by default only available to internal recipients for Google Workspace Enterprise Starter and higher clients as well as Google Workspace for Education customers. For users of Google Workspace Business and Nonprofit, multi-send is automatically enabled for recipients outside the company. You can enable multi-send for external recipients for all Google Workspace editions at the OU or Group level. MORE ABOUT GMAIL FTC: We employ automatically earning affiliate connections. More.
