Later this month, Google is hosting Search On 2022.

The “Search On” event, which Google has been doing since 2020 to reveal the newest features for its eponymous product, will take place in late September in 2022.

On September 28, at 10 a.m. PT, The livestream will begin. This year’s slogan, “Search outside the box,” is a direct allusion to Google Lens visual search. The invitation also makes mention of location, place reviews, and travel search.

To enable people to understand the information in the world in more logical and straightforward ways, we are updating Google Search.
Earlier this year, Google declared:

Google Lens “multisearch” allowed you to inquire about captured images when it first appeared in beta back in April. The MUM (Multitask Unified Model) is not supported in the version in use today, making it unable to execute sophisticated queries like snapping a picture of broken bicycle gears and receiving repair instructions, which was the centerpiece of Search On 2021.

Google revealed at I/O that scene exploration for a real-world Ctrl F and a “near me” specifier for multisearch would be added. Hopefully Search On 2022 will include information about the Google Lens rollout of these fascinating new features.
