The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is infamous for having a comfortable but challenging band. Even the charging pad that Samsung provided free of charge with pre-orders, the Watch 5 Pro cannot rest flush against it when wirelessly charging. The Galaxy Watch Charging Cradle now appears to be a solution that the company has devised.
The Watch 5 Pro band has a significant issue despite being comfortable and having a straightforward yet quick operation. It’s nearly impossible to place the Watch 5 Pro flush on the charging pad while using the Wireless Charger Duo that Samsung sold as a suggested pairing. Although you can set the watch down, the band causes it to rise off the pad and tumble off to one side or the other.
This has sparked a flurry of blogs offering creative fixes for the problem. Some users have developed get the Watch 5 Pro to stay on the charger tips and tricks, while others have activated 3D printers and got to designing .
Samsung appears to be working on a charging cradle as an official remedy for the issue it caused. This would get around any problems with the band itself. The Watch 5 and Watch 5 s bands can hang freely from the Galaxy Watch Charging Cradle because there is adequate space below the charging surface. It sits up off a desk or table.
This new item appears to be a stand-alone charger and has a cutout that was probably built so that a wire could run through the back. It’s not clear if the cradle comes with its own charging puck or if you’ll need to attach one. It appears that the front of the watch has an LED status indicator, which is a thoughtful addition for knowing when your watch needs to be refilled.
There is now no way to purchase the new cradle, but that product page is live . We do not know when or how much the new charging cradle will cost because Samsung has not mentioned it in any way. The item doesn’t include a price, although it probably won’t go as high as the $69 the Charger Duo costs.
