Samsung has released a new advertisement that criticizes Apple’s upcoming iPhone 14 range and claims that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy S22 Ultra’s innovations won’t be arriving to an iPhone near you any time soon. Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 14 lineup next week.
In its latest campaign, “Buckle Up,” Samsung takes a direct swipe at Apple’s upcoming iPhone, the iPhone 14 , by channeling an epic narrator from the early 2000s.
The first line of the commercial, which also highlights the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s distinctive design, claims that heads will turn, just not in your direction. The article then goes on to criticize cameras, claiming that the most high-resolution smartphone camera will be in someone else’s pocket while you won’t be the one to take the famous moon photo.
The final line of the advertisement from Samsung claims that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy S22 Ultra already have this innovation, rather than an iPhone near you. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is omitted from the advertisement, perhaps so as to focus on products with prices similar to those of the iPhone.
Google’s 9TO5 Actually, Samsung isn’t entirely off base here. There have been rumors about a foldable iPhone for a while, but it’s an clear that isnt arriving any time soon . A little flexing isn’t really unjustified because Samsung’s foldables are fantastic, and the company has a near monopoly on the market for them.
However, it’s also challenging to accept Samsung’s defense of cameras at the same time. The 50MP camera in the Pixel 6 Pro or even the 12MP camera in the iPhone 13 series offer more reliable performance than the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s 108MP camera, which is decent but not quite as good. Although the S22 Ultra’s moonshot Space Zoom is extremely impressive, it isn’t all that practical.
Apple has a history of waiting to do something well rather than doing it quickly. The protracted wait for a 120Hz display is a nice illustration of this. Before the iPhone, many Android phones had 120Hz displays, but Apple’s implementation was superior right away.
Samsung has every right to be pleased with its efforts because, in the end, it is these concepts that advance the smartphone market. However, this overt mockery is undoubtedly a risky move; let’s see if it works in their favor.
