The return of SummerSlam is happening at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. SummerSlam will only have emanated from a football stadium twice before. Before moving to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas last year, SummerSlam was only held in basketball/hockey stadiums or on baseball diamonds (similar to the Royal Rumble). This year’s SummerSlam is sure to draw a decent-sized crowd, and the lineup won’t let them down.
Since Vince McMahon stepped down as CEO and Chairman of the company, this will be the first Premium Live Event, which has many WWE fans excited. Several people have been anticipating that day since they believe McMahon’s control over Creative had grown stale and had forced many prominent figures to accept other promotions. Now that Triple H (actual name, Paul Levesque) is in charge of creativity, the show should be intriguing.
