Here is the Pixel Watch’s extremely curved shape in its initial, nearly final appearance.

Today’s leak of the first almost-final Pixel Watch image gives us our first glimpse at the anticipated wearable from Google’s future.

This afternoon, Evan Blass on 91Mobiles posted a render of the circular watch with a highly curved shape. Google went to great lengths with the glass to extend the curvature all the way to the rear piece even if the display is probably simply the flat surface you can see (which we cant even see in this image).

The stem protrudes significantly from the glass at the three o’clock position as part of the crown, which further emphasizes the seamless design. By making the stem silver, like the crown, which is likewise larger but shorter and somewhat reminiscent of a bottle cap, Google is not concealing the stem.

The watch face, meanwhile, resembles those that we previously unveiled in December. There is the time, which has an unpleasant date complication with no day above it, and three more below it that are unmistakably from Fitbit. Steps, heart rate, and one that presumably starts the stats overview are all present. Everything has a yellowish green color to it. A white dot indicating that you have available alerts is the last thing we see.

This watch body leak begs an intriguing question: Will Google even provide several body colors with such an edge-to-edge design? The Pixel Watch’s underside is not particularly visible when viewed from the front. In fact, it would be preferable if the body were similarly black or dark in hue to assist sell the seamless design. The business could get away with only having one color SKU available and putting a lot of emphasis on the various bands, which haven’t yet leaked.

The robustness of this architecture is also under debate.
