Here is how Google intends to price the Pixel Watch and introduce it alongside the Pixel 7:

The Pixel Watch has been extensively covered by 9to5Google in recent months, and we’re now learning how much Google will charge for its first wearable when it launches this autumn.

OUR KNOWLEDGE OF THE GOOGLE SMARTWATCH The Pixel Watch is around 14mm thick and roughly 40mm wide, with a circular, domed shape. Google has not yet disclosed the display resolution, but an initial measurement indicates that it covers about 30mm. A single button is located slightly above the crown, which spins and can be operated at 3 o’clock.

The Pixel Watch will come in three hues (silver, black, and gold), and as we previously mentioned, Google is developing a wide range of 20mm bands.

In May, we revealed that the Samsung Exynos 9110, an older model with a coprocessor, over 1.5GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage, powers the Pixel Watch. The latter two specifications will be superior to anything now available for Wear OS.

With a magnetic charger that is USB-C on the other end, the battery has a capacity of little under 300mAh. The battery should last for a day. Other noteworthy features include integrated GPS, water resistance to 50 meters, NFC, and a variety of health sensors that may be identical to those found in the Fitbit Luxe and Charge 5.

It will run Wear OS 3 together with a Google Pixel Watch companion app and Smart Unlock for Android.

WATCH PIXEL PRICE The Pixel Watch will come in Bluetooth/Wi-Fi and an LTE version, as we discovered during I/O 2022 in May. A source with knowledge of the situation claims that the price of the latter cellular Pixel Watch in the US will be $399. Of course, things could change before the launch, and carrier agreements will definitely lower the cost.

While the equivalent Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 is $279 and the Watch 5 Pro is $449, it is the same price as the least expensive Apple Watch Series 7 with only Bluetooth/Wi-Fi. For each, the price increases to cellular devices is $499, $329, and $449, respectively. (For reference, the recently unveiled Fitbit Sense 2 without cellular costs $299.)

The Pixel Watch falls between Samsungs entry and Apples priced goods, while Fitbit is Google’s more budget-friendly smartwatch line. When compared to the Galaxy Watch, Google is notable for employing recycled stainless steel for the case instead of Apple’s premium sapphire crystal and includes cellular, which costs $699. However, the Pixel Watch won’t be employing that expensive cover glass.

If all goes as planned, Google will launch two significant products side by side this fall as opposed to last year’s phone-only debut. According to what we’ve gathered, there won’t be a gap in the release dates for the Pixel Watch and the Pixel 7 or 7 Pro. Similar to how the Pixel 6a and Pixel Buds Pro went on sale simultaneously in July.
