Nearly all of the information about the Carl Peis Nothing Phone (1) has now been made public, and a retail listing now provides more details about the cost of the impending mid-range handset.
Nothing (1) will be really affordable in terms of price. The Nothing Phone has been the subject of a flood of information during the last few weeks (1). From the news that the phone won’t be available in the US market to an explanation of the lighting effects on the back of the glyphs.
In addition, we have received formal confirmation that the Nothing Phone is unquestionably not a high-end gadget. In fact, it will start using the Snapdragon 778 mid-range processor in 2021, but in a significantly modified form to support wireless charging.
Now that we have a good idea of what the Nothing Phone (1) would cost, we can see that the pricing is reasonable and attainable.
Early on, Amazon UK posted a listing for the Nothing Phone (1) that included the cost of each device version. A Redditor quickly communicated the pricing to capture , which is as follows:
169.99 8GB RAM/256GB storage 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs $499. 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs $549. Once again converted to US dollars, the phone won’t be available in the US for roughly $480 initially.
Nothing will also include the Ear (1) on Amazon in a bundle, but the package won’t be discounted. The earbuds will cost you the entire 99 or so.
How extensively the Nothing Phone (1) will be offered in Europe is still an open question.
WHAT COMPARES IT TO? The Nothing Phone (1) is reasonably priced, but how does it stack up against the major competitors?
The Google Pixel 6a, which will soon be released, is the first parallel that comes to mind. Although Google’s phone has a top-of-the-line processor in Tensor, its price in Europe is actually lower than Nothing. Compared to Nothing’s 8GB, 120Hz, and 50MP camera, the Pixel 6a will only offer 6GB of RAM, a 60Hz display, and a 12MP camera.
Even still, this might end up being one of Nothing’s biggest rivals.
There are other more participants in this market in addition to Google. Offering the same 120Hz display, a somewhat identical spec sheet, and Samsung’s extensive marketing, Samsung’s Galaxy A53 is in a similar price range at 509.99.
