In 2020, Google TV and the Chromecast were the first to offer the redesigned TV platform, and now the gadget is finally making its way to India.
The Chromecast was initially scheduled to debut in India in June along with a number of other new markets throughout Europe.
Now For the time being, the Chromecast with Google TV is formally sold in India, exclusively from retailer Flipkart . The streaming dongle is currently available and costs 6,399 dollars.
The price of Chromecast with Google TV in India is INR 6,399 as of right now, and it will soon be available at various retail locations.
The Chromecast typically costs $50 in the US, therefore that price exactly translates to roughly $80 USD. The cost of the Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen) is $7,999, which is the same as the product’s US list price of $100. Although the reason for the Chromecast’s higher price in India is unknown, it is not unprecedented for this to happen.
The device runs the Android-based Google TV platform and, like the Chromecast with Google TV in other locations, is controlled by a remote rather than just a smartphone. Both Dolby Vision and 4K HDR are supported. Additionally, purchasing the tablet includes three months of YouTube Premium.
Notably, at least temporarily, India only has access to the white Chromecast with Google TV.
