Google TV and Chromecast are releasing their first updates in 2022.

The first Chromecast with Google TV update of 2022 is currently rolling out and follows the prior upgrade by seven months.
On Android 10, the build QTS1.220504.008 shifts the October 2021 security patch to May 2022. Three bug fixes and enhancements are listed by Google:

The OTA update is 140MB in size (down from 158MB last year), and after installing Settings andgt; Removes andamp; Accessories andgt; “choose remote,” there is new remote firmware (24.7 -andgt; 26.0).

Although owners have been begging for Android 12 in recent months, this upgrade is still better than nothing. The performance of the gadget is improved by updates to the underlying software, but a few user-facing additions have lately debuted separately. This comprises:
