Images of the Logitech G Gaming Handheld, which Logitech and Tencent teased at the beginning of this month, have now surfaced online.
The Logitech G Gaming Handheld, whose name was revealed at the start of August on an official teaser page , was depicted in three different this evening shared photos by Evan Blass. Particularly for PC gaming accessories like keyboards and mouse, that brand is well-known. That initial preview hinted at the release of this mobile cloud gaming device later this year.
The gadget is mostly white and has a design aspect akin to the Nintendo Switch. The screen has large bezels and black thumb sticks on either side, with an X/Y/A/B button to the right and a D-Pad to the left. In addition, there are four buttons, including Home, that are roughly positioned at each corner of the display. Trigger buttons, a volume rocker, presumably a mute switch (it’s unclear if this is for the microphone or sound), and what appears to be a memory card slot are all located on the top black border.
The Google Play Store is prominently displayed, followed by Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Steam in the similarly designed UI to the Switch (Remote Play). The time, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and battery are the other UI components, and a row of five navigational sections can be found in the top-left corner.
Additionally, we find cards for YouTube and Chrome, which practically ensures that the Logitech G Gaming Handheld will run Android. This may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 gaming-specific Android CPU, which made its debut on a Razor developer kit in December of last year.
Update 8/30: The Logitech G Gaming Handheld is also known as the GR0006. According to the Google Play Console. It has an Snapdragon 720G processor, Android 11 operating system, 4GB of RAM, and a 10801920 display (320DPI). The 2020 Qualcomm octa-core CPU is designed primarily for smartphones but also targets mobile gaming.
