Google Fi is releasing a simple Material You revamp for Android.

Following widget modifications from a year ago, Google Fi has updated its Android app with Material You. It is an easy upgrade, and the corporation has almost done giving its most important programs an aesthetic makeover.

The Google Fi bottom bar’s towering style and pill-shaped indicators make for the most noticeable adjustment. Several buttons have changed from being rounded rectangles to becoming pills, but the cards marking significant information at the top of the Account feed have remained the same.

Everything has Dynamic Color theming, even the avatar icons for users and gadgets. The cover visuals that are displayed at the top of each tab have recently been updated by Google after being unchanged for a while.

Overall, this is a minor update that aligns Fi with the vast majority of current Google applications. As a result, the pace has slowed down, while a few people are still lagging behind. Dynamic Color is still not utilized by Google Maps, and it is uncertain whether Fit will undergo a makeover in light of Fitbit. While the Play Store has potential for further flourishes, Google Home might use a redesigned bottom bar.

Version V60 of the Android app, which was made available a week ago, is when we first noticed the change. Given that only Pixel phones are now experiencing the Google Fi Material You refresh in real time, there appears to be a server-side component.

It comes after the Google MVNO reduced the cost of its two Unlimited plans and increased the amount of high-speed data available in front of its seventh anniversary.
