In an effort to prevent spam from appearing in your Calendar, Google is offering the option to only display events that are sent by known senders.
People on your contacts list and those you’ve previously communicated with are considered known senders. It also applies to people who work for or are affiliated with you.
If you choose this option, you continue to get email invitations to events from unknown senders, but they don’t show up on your calendar until you accept them.
Only after the sender of the invitation is recognized will everyone join, and when I reply to the email invitation. On the internet, the selection Add invitations to my calendar is found under General andgt; Event settings.
You can modify it, but enterprise admins can set the default reply option for their users in the Google Admin panel. Over the next few weeks, Google Calendar settings will gradually roll out the recognized sender option.
