Google Photos introduced a new Camouflage feature as part of Magic Eraser with the Pixel 6a, and it is now available for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro as well.
Go to the Tools tab in Google Photos after modifying a photo there. You’ll see a new Camouflage tab next to the existing Erase functionality after starting the Magic Eraser. Like before, if your Pixel doesn’t offer suggestions for what to eliminate, you can easily undo your actions by circling or erasing any potentially distracting colored objects (or redo). The altered image will then be stored as a copy.
It works with any image on your Tensor-powered Pixel 6, 6 Pro, or 6a (including screenshots and other downloads). The natural blending of the object’s colors and shadowing is what Google promotes. Thus, the subjects are the main focus.
The effects could be quite subtle. I hid the dark blue USB-C cable in the top-right corner of the image in the example below. In order to blend in with the table and lighting, Google turned it brown. Though it may not be as frequently used as the Erase feature, camouflage is still a useful tool to have.

Magic Erasers Camouflage was supposed to be available on the Pixel 6 series starting around the end of July, according to the company’s initial statement. Although the rollout took a little longer than expected, we can now see it on all Pixel 6 and 6 Pro devices we checked in every country.
Although the upgrade for Android is already being widely rolled out, this was a server-side change.
