On August 3, the OnePlus 10T will launch, and it appears that it will include some much-needed updates. It’s a bigger deal than you might think that OnePlus has confirmed in a recent blog post that the OnePlus 10T will enable 125W fast charging in North America.

Fast charging has obviously been a major area of concentration for OnePlus over the past few years, and under Oppos leadership, the company has only intensified its efforts in this area. The OnePlus 10T, according to the company, will offer 150W SUPERVOOC Endurance Edition charging, which is the quickest charging ever. This variant of fast charging is, as usual, similar to that used by Oppo smartphones, but the OnePlus 10T is the first handset to use it.
How does using the OnePlus 10T while charging at 150W translate?
According to OnePlus, the new charger will charge the 4,800 mAh battery in the 10T from 1% to 100% in just 19 minutes, providing a day’s worth of juice in just 10 minutes.
There is, however, a small catch. Similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro, only some regions will be able to charge at the fastest rate. The phone may charge at these rates throughout Europe, India, and other places as long as there is a 220-volt power outlet nearby.
The OnePlus 10T can charge in North America at up to 125W, which achieves nearly the same speeds. 20 minutes to go from 1% to 100%, and 10 minutes to get the same amount of power.
If you use a OnePlus 10T with a suitable electrical system, it will still support the 150W system even if you purchase it in North America. In contrast, the OnePlus 10 Pro was only capable of 65W of fast charging wherever it was used in North America, despite its international debut with 80W of fast charging.
The remainder of OnePlus’ post explains that a dual charge pump, which delivers 75W to each of the two battery cells, manages the 150W charging. The OnePlus 10T will maintain at least 80% of its initial battery capacity after 1,600 charge cycles thanks to the new Battery Health Engine and software upgrades.
