Emoji may now be added quickly to Google Docs.

Emoji replies were first offered by Docs on the web earlier this year, and Google now makes it incredibly easy to enter emoji while you write.

Simply enter @ and the desired emoji’s name in the Google Doc’s body. You’ll receive a list that you may browse using the arrow keys. Up/down and enter allow for rapid browsing and selection entry, respectively. Additionally, pressing right twice will provide a complete emoji picker with search, Google’s typical grid, and category grouping.

Put @ and a descriptive after it, like @smile. To get an emoji dropdown menu and the ability to view the whole emoji library, type @: or:. Along with many other features, it adds the speedy ability to tag individuals, link documents, create lists (checklists, numbered, and bulleted), and insert templates (meeting notes, email drafts, product roadmaps, review trackers).
