Email delivery was hampered by the Gmail outage for roughly an hour this afternoon {Updated}.

Although Gmail seldom experiences outages, some users were unable to access the Google service this afternoon for an hour. Users who were affected couldn’t send or receive emails, albeit not all users were.

At 10:32 PM UTC, Google said was looking into complaints of a problem with Gmail. Email delivery issues or delays occurred between 14:40 and 15:35 US/Pacific due to the issue.

At 10:58 PM UTC, the service issue was resolved.

Other Google Workspace services were unaffected, but early today there was a problem with Meet’s livestreaming feature that has since been fixed (Waiting for stream to begin, Please stand by). not report experienced no difficulties on the Google Cloud Platform throughout the 55-minute email outage.

We saw no problems and were able to send and receive email normally on both the web client and the mobile apps in the US (West and East Coast). Additionally, searching for emails kept working.
