Early availability of One UI 5.0 Beta for the Galaxy S22 series in Germany

Samsung seems to be quietly inviting German owners of Galaxy S22 smartphones to sign up and download the One UI 5.0 Beta.

A German-based S22 owner named @MehdiMa0507 shared a screenshot of the device’s update changelog in response to an tweet from well-known leaker UniverseIce announcing the launch of the One UI 5.0 Beta.

Despite being the dominant player in the market, Samsung has been quiet about plans for their future Android 13 upgrade. Many of the new enhancements and changes that owners of the Galaxy S22 handset can anticipate after updating to the One Ui 5.0 Beta were exclusively covered by us last month.

The early look did not have a complete changelog, therefore not everything could be described in depth. But now that One UI 5.0 is more widely accessible, we should understand the entire complexities of Samsung’s upcoming significant software version.

One UI 5.0 Beta

Since then, SamMobile has released some additional information, including One UI 5.0 Beta’s firmware version S908BXXU2ZVH4 and the most recent August 2022 security patch. The enhanced Dynamic Color settings from Android 13 on Pixel phones are being moved over to Android 13 for Samsung phones, along with app permission pop-ups, as we observed in our exclusive hands-on.

For those who own Galaxy S22 devices, this release is very certainly the beginning of a bigger open beta. One UI 5.0 Beta has yet to appear in any territories, but with Unpacked scheduled for August 10 and the anticipated introduction of the Galaxy Fold 4, Flip 4, and Watch 5 series, we could learn more.
