Currently available. The amazing 55-inch curved gaming monitor from Samsung includes cloud services like Stadia.

Although curved monitors are typical for gaming, they are not always seen to be necessary. Samsung, however, is providing a 55-inch curved display with its new Odyssey Ark that is obviously designed for the best PC gaming experience. Additionally, the Odyssey Ark is the ideal center for cloud gaming services.

Update: Following pre-orders, Samsung has formally begun selling the Odyssey Ark. More information is provided below.

The Samsung Odyssey Ark is a 55-inch, 1000R-radius Quantum miniLED 165Hz display. In other words, it’s a large, bright, and extremely curved personal gaming theater.

You may already be aware of its enormous stand, capacity to turn into three monitors in one when in vertical mode, and quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support. 9to5Toys has the full breakdown on the benefits of the Ark, and Samsung describes it as follows:

With AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, you can prepare for victory and reduce game disruptions with a 165hz refresh rate, 1ms (GTG) reaction time, and support for customizable refresh rate. To give remarkable visual quality, Quantum Mini-LED achieves next-generation depth, which is enhanced by Dolby Atmos and Sound Dome technology for engrossing surround sound.

You might have missed the fact that this monitor really runs the full version of Samsung’s Tizen OS, which in turn includes the brand-new Gaming Hub functionality.

With the goal of consolidating all of your gaming resources in one location, Gaming Hub was first introduced on Samsung TVs earlier this year. Input devices like PCs and gaming systems are supported, and Twitch and YouTube integration is available for watching gameplay. But in addition to that, it also supports Xbox Game Pass, GeForce Now, Ubotik, Google Stadia, and most recently, Amazon Luna.

Like a smart TV, the Odyssey Ark runs the complete Tizen OS from Samsung. Thus, in addition to supporting cloud gaming services, it also supports other apps like Netflix and Disney.

Samsung is requesting a staggering $3,499 for the Odyssey Ark , which is by no means a low cost. However, the business is giving anyone who enters reserves the product on Samsung.com $100 off.

Update 9/13: About a month after it was first announced, Samsung has now made the Odyssey Ark available for purchase by the general public for the same $3,499 price as before. Sadly, the corporation is not providing any promotions with this launch.
