Canadian owners of the Galaxy Watch 4 are gaining ECG and BP functions.

The majority of the time, some areas are excluded from key and modern characteristics. In this case, the Galaxy Watch 4’s ECG and blood pressure monitoring features have just been available to Canadian owners of the smartwatch. Users in Canada are now reporting that their devices have complete ECG and BP capabilities.

The Galaxy Watch 4 has a ton of useful features with a focus on health and wellness, just like the majority of contemporary smartwatches. One of these capabilities allows you to monitor your blood pressure and ECG readings to keep tabs on your health. Together, these functions serve as preventative tools for monitoring your overall heart health. Although some locations only allow Samsung Galaxy customers access to these features in the Samsung Health Monitor app, they are still a significant selling factor.

Even though there were many regions that may benefit from the functionality, Canada was completely excluded until recently. Some of these characteristics, like those in most locations, need government agency clearance. Since the release of the Galaxy Watch 4, the ECG monitor and blood pressure features have been all but worthless as a result.

ECG and blood pressure monitoring were unlocked by a recent firmware update (R8xxXXU1FVC8), according to a report by Sammobile . With this update, users of Samsung Galaxy devices running Android 7.0 or higher can track these vitals using the Samsung Health Monitor app.

It’s rather easy to enable these features if you wish to. Follow the setup instructions in the Samsung Health Monitor app on your watch. You may even be prompted to download the app and set it up after updating to the newest firmware. You should be able to conduct ECG and blood pressure testing with ease if your Galaxy Watch 4 is connected to a Galaxy phone.
