This year, Qualcomm’s next-generation chip is expected to be introduced a little earlier than normal, and it appears that this will pave the way for the first new gadget to use the chip before 2022 is over. A recent rumor claims that OnePlus will introduce one of the first devices to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor before the year is up.
According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo this week, OnePlus will introduce its following flagship phone by the end of the year. If so, the gadget would be released far sooner than the OnePlus 10 Pros, which made their debut in January 2022.
According to the speculation, the SM8550, Snapdragon’s upcoming flagship CPU, also known as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 would power this forthcoming OnePlus handset. The SM8450 product number was assigned to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.
At Qualcomm’s upcoming summit event on or around November 15, that chip is scheduled to receive an official announcement.
Assuming the OnePlus pattern from this year is any indication, the OnePlus 11 Pro, if that’s what it’s called, is expected to make its premiere in China before going worldwide later in the year. At the end of March, the OnePlus 10 Pro was finally made available in North America and other territories.
Based on this speculation, it would seem logical to anticipate that the OnePlus 11 Pro will be released sometime in December of this year. Additionally, according to rumors, OnePlus will introduce its first foldable smartphones in 2023, likely based on Oppos’ next models.
