As promised, Samsung will continue to support the Galaxy Watch 3 and Active 2. A new Tizen software update for the Galaxy Watch 3 and Active 2 adds some new Galaxy Watch 5 features.
Samsung made some significant updates to various devices this week. For the company’s previous foldables, such as the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3, such modifications include the forthcoming Android 12L update.
In addition, Samsung sprinkled in some extras is available for users of the Galaxy Watch 3 and Active 2. Two watch faces from the recently released Galaxy Watch 5 will be added to the Watch 3 and Active 2 as part of a forthcoming Tizen update. These watch faces include the solid-looking Gradient number and Pro analog watch faces.
This latest Tizen upgrade goes beyond just the graphics. Snore detection will also be implemented to all of these users’ smartwatches. It’s wonderful to see that snore detection will soon be available on earlier Galaxy Watch models as well. Additionally, ECG and blood pressure monitoring are expanding to more areas where it has been authorized, so if you reside in one of the 24 new markets, it’s possible that these features could soon appear on your device.
Despite the fact that it may appear like a little update, this is significant for Samsung users. The three-year support agreement for the Galaxy Watch 3 and Active 2 ends in a year for the Watch 3 and this year for the Active 2, which was the company’s big pledge last year. Given that timetable, it’s nice to see Samsung upholding it by giving quality-of-life updates like the one that was recently released in addition to security updates.
