Google included Nest Doorbell alerts and flashlight reminders to At a Glance last month. A Google Home-integrated Cross Device Timer feature for the Pixel At a Glance widget may be coming soon.
Regarding APK Insight: We’ve decompiled the most recent version of an app that Google put on the Play Store in our APK Insight post. When we decompile these files—known as APKs for Android apps—we can find numerous lines of code that allude to potential future features. Remember that Google might or might not ever deploy these features, and our understanding of what they are might be limited. However, we’ll strive to give those that are closer to completion a chance to demonstrate how they’ll seem if they do ship. Read on with that in mind.
Today’s At a Glance displays stopwatch and timer data from the Clock app. There is a live countdown that, when tapped, opens the application in the top-left corner of the lock and homescreen.
A new At a Glance feature has been added to Google app 13.26, which is now in the beta channel update:

The timer information is a little hazy and probably only refers to the countdown, but it’s very obvious from the string which of your household appliances they come from. This function on Pixel phones aims to display any timers set on your Smart Displays and speakers in At a Glance.
It’s not clear if you’ll be able to delete them from your phone or if the widget will identify the particular device at fault. In the meantime, the following icon will appear alongside it in the settings list.
The fact that timers on Smart Displays/Speakers don’t sync with other Assistant devices and stay siloed is a common criticism. (The only remedy is to open the Google Home app, choose a device, and then click Settings, Audio, Alarms, and Timers.) This At a Glance integration is a step in the right direction toward reducing isolation.
This morning, we created a number of timers, but neither At a Glance nor its settings have the Cross Device Timer live yet. For At a Glance, Google is also developing grocery pickup and delivery services.
